Trademark Registration

Let's Safeguard Your Brand Together

I get it. Your business is so much more than your name and logo – it’s your dream and your legacy. My trademark registration services for creative entrepreneurs like you shields your brand from the unpredictable craziness of today’s business world.

Let’s embark on this hassle-free journey together, where I’ll focus on the legal, and you focus on your business, and together we focus on ensuring your brand not only stands out, but stands strong.

Why is a
trademark important?

A trademark is more than a symbol; it’s a powerful asset that distinguishes your brand in the marketplace.

By registering a trademark, you secure exclusive rights to your brand name, logo, or slogan, preventing others from using similar marks that could lead to confusion among consumers. This not only protects your brand identity but also adds tangible value to your business.

A registered trademark can enhance your market presence, build customer trust, and provide a solid foundation for the growth and longevity of your unique brand.

Our Process: Your Path to Brand Protection

Step One:
Brand Discovery Call

This is where it all begins. In this introductory call, I’ll walk you through the world of trademarks and my process to safeguard your brand. But more than that, it’s a chance for us to get to know each other.

We’ll discuss the basics of trademarks, sharing how I can assist in protecting your brand. It’s not about legal advice; it’s about understanding where your business is right now and to ensure that when we work together, it’s the perfect match for protecting what matters most to you—your brand.

Step Two:
Brand Strategy Meeting

Your brand strategy meeting is the cornerstone of safeguarding your business identity. It’s not just a discussion; it’s about crafting a roadmap tailored to protecting your brand.

During the meeting, I’m not just there to check boxes; I’m there to listen, learn, and collaborate. We’ll delve into your business to understand your products and/or services and your goals for the future so I can develop a trademark strategy tailored to your brand.

Step Three:
Comprehensive Trademark Search

Next up, with the help of a vendor, I’ll complete a comprehensive trademark search. This isn’t just a quick check; it’s a deep dive into the trademark world to see if there’s anything that might cause trouble for your brand.

Once the search is complete, I’ll thoroughly analyze the results and write a clear, understandable summary for you explaining how likely it is that your trademark will get the green light.

If I find something that may potentially cause your registration trouble down the road, I’ll counsel you on other options. It’s all about making sure you’re informed before taking the next steps.

Step Four:
Trademark Application + Filing

After the strategizing and searching, it’s time to prepare and file your trademark application.

I’ll handle the details, making sure your application accurately represents your brand.

Once filed, your application continues the journey toward securing your brand’s identity and getting the legal protection it deserves.

Step Five:
Communication Every Step of The Way

I understand that your trademark is more than just a legal process—it’s protecting your dream. That’s why I prioritize clear, ongoing communication throughout the entire trademark journey.

You’ll never be left guessing or in the dark. My commitment is to keep you informed at every turn. Whether it’s a quick update or diving into details, you will always have a direct line of communication with me.

Step Four:
Office Action Response

Let’s talk about office actions. Receiving one along the trademark journey is not a cause for panic. I’ll handle the non-substantive office action (no research or legal argument required) if one arises.

I’ll carefully review the action and and write a response that addresses it head-on, helping ensure your trademark journey stays on track.

“When we work together on your trademark(s), we spend much of our time learning about your business and searching and analyzing the search results. It’s my opinion, that much of the important work is done prior to preparing the application, because without good preparation red flags that may cause your trademark to not be approved could be missed. If we find something that we believe may be a cause for concern, we’ll counsel you on the potential next steps.  ~Lila Swann
