Lila Swann
After a car accident, most people aren’t looking for a lawsuit.
They’re looking for answers.
They’re worried about medical bills, insurance calls, vehicle repairs, missed time from work, and how they’re going to get life back to normal.
My job is to help people navigate that process, understand their options, and move forward with confidence.
When you contact me, you’ll work directly with me. Not a call center. Not a case manager. Just me.
Why This Work Matters to Me
I grew up in Morehead City.
Summers on the sandbars. Riding my bike around downtown. My grandfather was born and raised in Beaufort. Eastern North Carolina isn’t just where I practice law.
It’s where I come from.
Before law school, I worked with small business owners and nonprofits in marketing, graphic design, and video production. I saw firsthand what it takes to build something from the ground up and how much people care about the things they’ve worked hard to create.
When I went to law school, personal injury law interested me. But I didn’t want to become the billboard attorney. I didn’t want to build a law firm around promises of big settlements and catchy slogans.
So, I started out representing families and children in family law and special education matters. That work taught me how important it is to show up for people during difficult times and help them navigate situations that feel overwhelming.
But I kept coming back to personal injury law. Not the version I was worried about.
A different version.
One where a local attorney helps people make sense of a confusing process, communicates clearly, and stands beside them when life suddenly becomes more complicated than it was the day before.
That’s the law firm I built.
A Different Kind of
Law Office
My office is virtual.
That means you don’t have to take time off work, sit in a waiting room, or drive across multiple counties just to get answers.
Most things can be handled by phone, text, or email.
On your schedule.
Because when you’re recovering from an injury, the last thing you need is another obstacle standing between you and the help you need.

Outside the Office
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me walking Henley around Carteret and Craven Counties, spending time outdoors, gardening, cooking, or somewhere near the water.
I believe relationships matter.
I believe communication matters.
And I believe people deserve to be treated like people, not case numbers.
If you’ve been injured in a car accident and need clear answers about your options, I’d be glad to talk.
Let's Start With A Conversation
You don't need to know exactly what to do next. You don't need to have all the answers.
If you've been injured in a car accident in Carteret, Craven, or Pamlico County and want to understand your options, contact me. I'll tell you what I think and answer your questions honestly.
You’ll receive a call back from Lila
